writing wednesday - "Say It, Sing It As the Spirit Leads" (Joshua Bennett)

it's workshop week and I'm in the midst of packing. I have snippets of three different poems that are perculating but need a bit more work, so I'm posting a poem that makes me feel alive instead.

There are so many incredible lines in this poet that I found myself trying to transcribe the entire thing for this post. listen to this, listen to it on repeat, and I'll leave you with the ending (my line breaks):
